I'm getting my feet wet with this weekly project on Karin Jurick's weekly "different strokes challenge". I'm not much into landscape painting and I am trying to learn to use water-based oils and speed things up. This is painted using one color. I wanted the feeling of heat to come through, hope that comes through. I am also going to start using oil bars/sticks in future challenges. Lots of experimenting and having fun with it all. Hope to progress to a better painter as I go along.

Your image has an antique/vintage feeling because of the warm brown tone. I've heard about water based oils but I've never tried them. I am looking forward to what you do in the future!
